I’m a businessman, job-creator, husband, father and son. Like many of you, I’m fed up with the inaction in Washington DC and the ethical mess in Sacramento.
It’s time for Congress to start delivering for us.
I’m running to be a vigorous advocate for you, the hard-working families of Contra Costa County and a common sense Democratic voice in Congress.
As a businessman, I have a proven track record of bringing many people together to the table to get things done. That’s what I want to do in Congress.
As the son of two public school teachers, I know we need Congress to stop bickering and pass an Education Bill that delivers for our children. A solid public education, from cradle to college, is the stairway to the middle class, and right now some of the steps are missing. We need to put them back.
Real people in Contra Costa County, like my mother in Walnut Creek, need Washington to get serious about protecting our seniors. They have worked hard to earn their Social Security benefits. Millionaires and billionaires must pay their fair share to preserve Social Security.
And seniors, like my mom, know Medicare works too. Congress needs to stop arguing and focus on preserving the excellent benefits Medicare provides to our parents and ensure it will be there for the rest of us.
In Washington, I will also focus on rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure. Our ability to get to work and school is dependent on bridges, highways and mass transit. Money invested in repairing and improving infrastructure will create jobs and stimulate the economy, as well as attract new business.
I’ll fight to protect our veterans. Too many of these heroes are being forced to use VA facilities that are antiquated and receive inadequate care.
I have the energy and passion to solve problems that impact you and your family.
I am beholden to no one other than the voters of Contra Costa County. I’m ready to be an unrelenting voice for our Contra Costa values in Washington DC.
I’d be honored to have your vote in the Primary Election on June 3.
